One of the world's most renowned, the White Wings Collection (the Kleiner Family Collection) holds over 200 snuff bottles, including many very rare examples made for Imperial use within the Palace workshops. With a foreword by Hugh Moss, this catalog illustrates almost all the varieties of snuff bottles, including those made of jade, hardstone, semi-precious materials such as coral, porcelain, and metal. The author discusses these within the context of Chinese decorative arts as a whole and has included an analysis of the controversial group of bronze snuff bottles dated to the period 1644-1653.
